Cudgewa's coach Julianne Reiners and versatile defender Anna Beirs will go head-to-head with an opponent they know all too well in Federal defender and co-coach Leah Mathey.
The trio grew up playing netball together and attended the same school, with the stars aligning to see them vying for glory out on the court in Cudgewa on Saturday.
Reiners confirmed there would be no love lost between the long-time friends, despite the two-on-one contest.
"We used to travel away for competitions together," Reiners said.
"We played away for many years and all came back to the Upper Murray league, so it's nice to come back and still be able to play with or against each other.
"We hold a lot of respect towards each other as players, which is lovely.
"To go out there knowing that you're competing against high level competitors with great skills is really good."
Despite being on the other side, Mathey agreed it will be nice to share the day with the Blues duo.

"It'll be nice to play in finals with good friends, unfortunately they're on the other side," Mathey said.
"Generally Anna and I don't play against each other being defenders, but in the semi I played against her in goal attack, which was strange."
The last time the teams met the Swans stunned the Blues by 12 goals, forcing them to play Corryong for a spot in the grand final.
Before that Cudgewa hadn't lost a game since round 15 of the 2018 season, taking out last year's grand final and finishing this season minor premiers.
Saturday will mark the opportunity for Cudgewa to grab back-to-back flags after appointing their new coach this season, as well as having several changes to the side.
"We're confident that with our regular lineup we should challenge them, so hopefully we can take home the win," Reiners said.
For Federal, it's an opportunity to rectify the heartbreak of last season after they were sent out of finals in straight sets, despite finishing minor premiers.
"We only lost one game in the lead up to finals last year, so it was bittersweet to go so well and then be knocked straight out," Mathey said.
"It would be nice if we could recreate a win on Saturday against them.
"It's always a good contest against Cudgewa."
Both teams enter with their full sides available for the grand final at 2:45pm.
