Two young stars on the Border hockey scene took out Hockey Albury-Wodonga's top honours at the association's senior presentation at the Commercial Club on Friday night.

CR United's Sam Quick claimed the division one men's award, while Norths' Kate Reynolds capped off a stunning debut season in the division one women's competition by being crowned best and fairest.
Reynolds moved to the Border for university this year and also featured prominently for the Spitfires women's side in the Canberra-based Capital League.

She polled 22 votes to edge out Falcons' Kate Bardy on 19, while talented teenagers Hayley Hutchinson (Wombats-Beechworth) and Tess Palubiski (CR United) finished tied for third on 18.
Reynolds, who was unable to attend on the night due to a university placement, is expected to also be a front-runner for the Spitfires' top award after showing incredible consistency throughout the year.
Quick was a first-time winner of the division one men's award, picking up 30 votes to see off teammate Tim Jones on 26 and Magpies' captain Jeremy Maggs with 25.
It was a breakout season for Quick, who was also an integral part of the Capital League campaign for the Spitfire men.
"It's been a good, consistent year of hockey. Playing at a high level with the Spitfires for a second year has really cemented in some good quality hockey," Quick said.
"I've really tried to play a team game at United this year.
"Stepping it up with the Australian Country team as well has been quite an awesome opportunity."
While he was honoured to be crowned the league's best and fairest player, Quick would love nothing more than to finish the season with the premiership.
CR United awaits the winner of Sunday's preliminary final between Norths and Magpies.
"With the way United has played this year, it wouldn't be a disappointment, but it would be unfortunate if we didn't go the whole way and win the grand final," Quick added.
Wodonga's Robert Cuttler won the division two men's best and fairest, while Madeline Poulton (Norths) and Taylor Rosewarne (CR United) shared the division two women's award.
Falcons' Mat Russell and Norths' Tahlia Hicks were the top vote-getters in division three.
