Extreme winds at Peechelba killed livestock and caused damage to cars and out buildings in weather that witnesses have described as a tornado.

Wodonga and Yarrawonga State Emergency Service units were called out to assist, with a spokeswoman saying it was a "microburst event" in a concentrated area.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Michael Efron said reports emerged from Peechelba at about 4.20pm on Friday.
"The radar image does suggest there was a storm up there that could have produced a tornado," he said.

Footage posted on Facebook, which the owner did not want the media to use, showed a moving column of air between the ground and thick clouds.
After viewing this footage, Mr Efron said it did appear to be a tornado.
Mr Efron said a combination of instability in the lower atmosphere and changing, strong winds could cause a tornado.
"If there was a region in Victoria that is prone to it, you'd say North East Victoria is often in the firing line," he said.
"Especially during the warmer months of spring and summer, we do tend to see some quite intense storms through that region."
