The classy Englishman captured his second AWFA senior men's Star Player at the Commercial Club on Wednesday night.
Despite missing four games in the second half of the season, Burchell collected 33 votes to finish five ahead of Albury United's star Frenchman Gauthier Robin with 28.
Cobram's English import Mitchell Speechley-Price earned 22 votes in his first season in the competition to place third, with Melrose captain Adam Waters (20 votes) and Twin City Wanderers' skipper Jayson Ferguson (19 votes) also in the top five.
Burchell, who fired in 34 goals for the campaign, nabbed two trophies on the night after pipping teammate Thomas Romero (33 goals) for the leading goal-scorer prize.
Speechley-Price was a further goal adrift on 32 in one of the closest final tallies in recent history.

Upon accepting his award, Burchell revealed he was close to not returning to play for Wangaratta this season after the passing off his father in January.
"I've been surrounded by people that have lost parents in their 20s, but I never would have thought the tragedy that happened to me in January would have happened," he said.
"Part of me wanted to have a really good season because of that, but I didn't expect to win anything because I missed three or four games when I went back to Europe to see mum and have a bit of a holiday as well.
"When I came back, the main thing was to win the league and we accomplished that and the next thing to do is win the cup on Sunday.
"Good players play better with good players around them."
There's still plenty on the line for Burchell with two cup finals up for grabs.
Burchell will look to claim his first cup title as coach of Wangaratta's senior women just moments before stepping onto the field with Devils' senior men to face arch rivals Myrtleford in another decider.
When Burchell won his first Star Player in 2015, Wangaratta went on to win the cup and he'll be hoping history repeats itself.
"I'm just focused on winning two senior cups. That's all I want to do," Burchell added.
"My first focus will be with the women and my next focus will be with the men, but I want to win both."
Englishman Daniel Kelly made it a big night for club champions Wangaratta with a one-vote victory in the reserves Star Player.
Kelly crossed to the Red Devils from Albury City this year to win the award for a second straight year.
He picked up 32 votes to nudge out St Pats' veteran Andrew Stevens on 31 and cap off another fine season.
The experienced striker was a clear winner in the reserves leading goal-scorer with a massive tally of 55, 34 more than Stevens who finished runner-up.
Cobram's James Grant picked up the Star Goalkeeper for the reserve men with 43 votes, with Boomers' rising star Tal Wilson placing second on 40.
