Wayne Robinson, 47, allegedly touched a boy's leg near his genital region as he played, and massaged the naked chest of another.
The allegations are the teacher also kissed and orally and anally raped one of those boys, then continued with others over the next 10 years.
Police charges reveal Robinson allegedly raped or indecently assaulted a total 10 boys aged under 18 between 2005 and 2018, many who were under his care in his role as a music teacher based in the Wangaratta region.
MORE NEWS FROM COURT:
It is also alleged he used a carriage service to procure and groom a person, he believed to be under 16 years of age, for sexual activity between February 15 and 17 last year at Boorhaman North, where he lives.
Robinson also allegedly possessed child abuse material at Boorhaman North on March 2 last year.
He appeared in Wangaratta Magistrates Court again on Thursday before magistrate Ian Watkins, where the case was adjourned until November because his defence lawyer had to reassess a planned legal argument.
The prosecutor said the Crown was ready to proceed with the case and the delay was inconvenient, but did not oppose another adjournment for two months.
"The matter needs to be resolved fairly promptly," Mr Watkins said.
