Ms Berejiklian this week announced a review into the embattled MP, conducted by Department of Premier and Cabinet Secretary Tim Reardon.

But she stopped short of referring him to ICAC over his property dealings - something Labor leader Jodi McKay labelled a "cop out".

Ms McKay subsequently asked that the watchdog investigate "potentially corrupt behaviour" by Mr Sidoti.

The premier on Friday said she anticipated Mr Reardon's report would be submitted sometime next week, and expected it to be thorough.

"What's important is for the public to maintain integrity and confidence in the process of government ... Mr Sidoti is hard-working, he's told me he's done nothing wrong," Ms Berejiklian told 2GB Radio.

"I anticipate (the report) will come back some time next week."

Mr Sidoti has come under fire over several property interests, some of which critics say he failed to appropriately disclose, and a linked political donation.

The Sydney MP was previously the parliamentary secretary for transport when the department designed a new access road to Rouse Hill land he reportedly part-owned which subsequently won approval for a $70 million high-rise precinct.

A property developer who was partnering with Mr Sidoti on the project made a $1750 donation to the Liberal Party in 2015.

The Liberal Party is now working with the NSW Electoral Commission to forfeit that money as property developers are barred from making donations.

Mr Sidoti has also faced questions over whether he had profited from insider information that metro stations were to be built close to properties he had interests in, thus increasing their value.

The sports minister faced a torrid NSW budget estimates hearing on Thursday when he faced a barrage of questions over allegations he breached the ministerial code of conduct.

Mr Sidoti told budget estimates more than 100 times that he had always complied with all his obligations.
