Metricon's Chelsea 33, which was described by the judges as having an "intelligent home design", took home the title at the annual Housing Industry Association awards held last month.
Metricon Homes regional north manager Tania Tonks said the Chelsea's floorplan "really ticks every box on the family home wish list".
"The smart single level floorplan of the Chelsea has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and multiple living spaces," she said.
"Its innovative design balances family friendly living with retreat spaces, and with large windows and a covered outdoor room for entertaining, this home is perfect for families who insist on the very best.
"The Hamptons-inspired interiors are also a very popular choice with customers.
"The crisp, white features, plantation shutters, oversized furniture, sheer curtains and coastal-inspired colours peppered throughout, come together to give the home a very elegant feel."

Ms Tonks said some people are "surprised" to learn Metricon's regional teams are made up of local people.
"Metricon's regional teams are comprised of local staff, site managers, service and warranty and trades, which means they too are part of the community where so many people are deciding to build beautiful new homes," she said.
"The regional market has expanded dramatically and we now have 31 display homes and 10 offices across regional Victoria."
