Former jockey Stephen Brown Junior was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital on Wednesday morning after suffering injuries in a fall at Wangaratta jump-outs.

Racing Victoria released a statement saying that the track rider received immediate medical care from the on-course paramedic.
The statement read:
"Racing Victoria can confirm that a licensed track rider Stephen Brown Junior was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital following a fall at Wangaratta jump-outs this morning."
"Stephen received immediate medical care from the on-course paramedic and was placed in an induced coma prior to transport.
"Racing Victoria will provide further updates on Stephen's condition once known."
Brown last rode in a race at Moonee Valley in November.
The retired apprentice is a registered track rider.
The 20-year-old began his apprenticeship in 2015 and rode a total of 40 winners.
Brown, who stands over 180cm or six feet tall, was one of the tallest jockeys to have ridden in Australia before ending his racing career.
He is the son of successful trainer Stephen Brown.
