The Saints didn't field a team in the Ovens and Murray's under-18 competition last season, but are now just a win away from a flag.
You have to go back to 1990 since a Myrtleford side has lifted an Ovens and Murray premiership cup aloft.
It was the Saints' thirds outfit that took down Albury 29 years ago, while 1970 was the club's only senior premiership.
Myrtleford's reserves won premierships in 1963 and 1966, but have had nothing since.
The town has been buzzing with the success of both the thirds and the seniors, who fell in last weekend's preliminary final to Lavington.
Myrtleford thirds coach Tristan Purse played in the Saints' 2006 senior grand final loss to Yarrawonga and would love nothing more than to take a premiership back to McNamara Reserve when his side meets Wangaratta at Norm Minns Oval in Sunday's decider.

"We want to complete the story from going to non-existent to winning a premiership, I think that would be a massive thing to reflect on," Purse said.
"Our club has been quite starved of ultimate football success in its whole history.
"There's been a massive buzz. There's been heaps of people at training.
"At the games, everyone is there at 9 o'clock in the morning to cheer on the under-18s.
"The support has been just amazing. When I see videos of our rooms for the under-18s after a win, I can compare it to senior rooms of other clubs."
It's also a huge weekend for Wangaratta thirds coach Matt Hedin, who will look to lead his side to victory, before lining up for the Pies in the main event later on.
"It should be pretty busy, but I've got great support around me," Hedin said.
"It's been really good. I've got a couple of assistants to take over at training when I've got to go do my stuff.
"Even on game day, they do a lot of the post-match stuff to help me switch off and get ready for my game."
Cameron Chamberlain hurt his shoulder in Wangaratta's second semi-final triumph over Wodonga, but is expected to play, while the Saints will also go in unchanged.
Wangaratta beat Myrtleford by less than three goals twice during the season.
