Sydney soul and funky pop band The Soul Movers are making their way to the Border. Fronted by Lizzie Mack and founding Wiggles member Murray Cook (Red Wiggle), The Soul Movers will perform at St Ives Hotel in Wodonga as part of their Bona Fide - If I Could Ever national tour. After a two-year spell, The Soul Movers reformed in 2012 when Cook joined the fold. The Soul Movers will raise funds for drought relief at their Wodonga gig. Tickets for the St Ives gig are available online.

Carl Barron - Skating Rink for Flies, Albury Entertainment Centre, Saturday, September 21, 8pm
Voted number one comedian two years running, Carl Barron has a brand new show - Skating Rink for Flies. It's a night where he ponders things we all think about but never mention. Things like plastic bags, peanut butter and the possible emotions of an ant! There is no point to this show other than to make you laugh as much as possible. This is his third and final show in Albury.
FINALS FEVER
Wangaratta Magpies take on Lavington Panthers for the ultimate prize in the Ovens and Murray Football Netball League grand final. Lavington must overcome a seven-match losing streak against Wangaratta to snap a 14-year premiership drought on Sunday. The Panthers will start as the longest outsider in a grand final since falling to the star-studded Albury in their last appearance in 2016. Four grades of netball will be contested from 9am.

Everyone is welcome to a free fish-a-thon. For the beginners, there will be plenty of help. BYO fishing gear if possible, but there will be some provided including bait. Fishing licences not required. There will be a free barbecue dinner.
