The Magpies came out firing from the first whistle and led Corowa-Rutherglen at every break before claiming the victory by three goals, 48-45.
The premiers dedicated the win to Chris Crimmins, father of wing attack Chaye, in what has been an emotional couple of weeks for the Magpie family after his passing.
Crimmins said she had her dad with her in spirit every step of the way in the home ground win.
"I think this one is a bit more special," Crimmins said.
"It's a lovely result, he was definitely looking over us today.
"It's an awesome feeling and I'm just so proud of the girls."
Head coach Lou Byrne admitted the Pies' loss to the Roos in the semi-final helped fuel their fighting spirit in the decider.
"We were coming in as the underdogs," Byrne said.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"We really wanted to amend that loss and to get the jump on them this time.
"The girls knew they didn't perform well that day, so they made sure that didn't happen again.
"Our defensive pressure all over the court was great and that was an area we thought we were lacking a bit against them last time.
"It's a very special win."
The second quarter proved heartbreaking for Corowa-Rutherglen when two time Toni Wilson Medallist Sophie Hanrahan came off the court with an ankle injury.
Hanrahan put up a gutsy effort to return to the court for the start of the third quarter but was unable to play out the match.
Corowa-Rutherglen coach Georgie Bruce said she was extremely proud of how far her side has come.
"We've already achieved above and beyond what anyone could have ever dreamed of," Bruce said.
"No matter what the outcome, I'm super proud of them.
"They fought hard until the last whistle.
"No matter what, the community were proud of us today."
Wangaratta's Amanda Umanski was a proven target in the goal circle, racking up 34 goals for the Magpies, while coach Kellie Keen shot 14 goals in her 11th A-grade netball premiership.
Corowa-Rutherglen goal shooter Grace Senior was also an asset securing 29 for the Roos.
The last quarter proved to be a scramble with both sides applying defensive pressure down the court.
Hannah Grady and Isabelle Byrne had outstanding games for the Magpies, while Corowa-Rutherglen young gun Emily Laracy lifted in defence in the absence of Hanrahan, creating turnovers at crucial times.
