The Victorian department of transport has warned Border residents to expect delays along on the Hume Freeway, Wodonga, during bridge inspections.

On Wednesday, traffic monitoring and bridge inspections will take place between 8.30am and 2pm between High Street and Bandiana Link Road.
The department said one lane in both directions will be closed, with a speed limit of 40km/h in place on the remain lanes.

The monitoring is part of an ongoing program to monitor and maintain bridge assets over High Street and Bandiana Link Road.
The department asked drivers to drive to the changed conditions and observe the reduced speed limit for their own safety and the safety of workers.
Minor delays are also expected along the Omeo Highway at Eskdale from Monday to Friday next week.
Pavement repairs will take place daily between 7am and 5pm.
One lane of traffic, with a 40km/h speed limit, will remain open.
The department said road works will also be undertaken next week in preparation for re-sealing the following roads in the North-East Victoria:
- Great Alpine Road (Wangaratta to Eurobin)
- Melrose Drive (West Wodonga)
- Murray River Road (Talgarno to Jingellic)
- Cudgewa Tintaldra Road (Cudgewa to Tintaldra)
- Omeo Highway (Eskdale to Tallandoon)
Works will be undertaken from 7am to 6pm weekdays weather permitting, with one lane open to traffic and speed set at 40km/h to protect the community and workers.
