In Wodonga Creators Art Space Photography Festival 2019 will celebrate photography as an art form from Wednesday, September 25, to Monday, November 4.
Wodonga-based fine art photographer Paul Temple said it was the first time the festival had run.
"It's basically celebrating the 180th anniversary of photography, looking at photography in all its forms," he said.
The festival opening runs on Friday night from 6pm to 8pm.
It will also mark the opening of Temple's digital photography exhibition, A European Sojourn, which runs until October 6.
Temple said he captured his images during a trip to Italy last year.
"One of my things is landscapes," Temple said.
"I especially enjoyed photographing the magnificent Dolomites in the north of Italy and Corsica had very good landscapes."
Light Drawings and Other Follies, an exhibition in alternative processes, runs from Wednesday, October 9, to Monday, November 4.
Exhibiting artists include Rachel Pringle, Eric Saros, Paul Temple and special guests Eve Brown and Rebecca van Herk.
There will be workshops on cyanotypes (October 20) and lumen prints (October 27).
A free come and try for World Cyanotype Day will run on Saturday, 11am to 1pm.
