Chairman Michael Erdeljac said the concept had been a success in capital cities and is confident the Tuesday, December 10, round will be a winner.
"We think it's a good time of the year and matches are over in two hours, 20 minutes," Erdeljac said.
"Years and years ago we ran a comp mid-week but this is at club level.
"It's definitely worth looking at how it goes."

The Twenty20 competition will kick off with a double-header on October 12 and 13.
Meanwhile, St Patrick's will start their season against Lavington.
The Patties have picked up promising Engish bowler Luke Evans who is set to bolster the side's pace attack.
Jack Heriot and Liam Rhodes have also come on board.
Kieran Cowan has moved to Newcastle.
The draw is:
Round 1: October 12 (3pm start)
Albury v Belvoir, Wodonga Raiders v Wodonga, East Albury v Tallangatta, Lavington v St Patricks, New City v North Albury.
Round 2: October 13 (12pm start)
Belvoir v Wodonga Raiders, Tallangatta v Albury, Wodonga v East Albury, North Albury v Lavington, St Patricks v New City.
