Brennan played nine matches for the Crocs last season, including their 22 point loss in the decider against Nightcliff in March.
Swampies teammate William Farrer and Corowa-Rutherglen midfielder Tim Brook also played for the Crocs last season.
The season kicks off on Saturday.
Sedgwick is an avid fisherman and said he jumped at the opportunity when contacted by Crocs coach Shannon Ruska.
"I'll miss the first couple of rounds but I have got my flight booked for October 23," Sedgwick said.
"I had already booked a fishing trip up north in November before the Crocs got in contact with me.
"So I brought my flight forward and the girlfriend and I are going to fly up for a holiday, a bit of fishing and a couple of games of footy.
"I'll see how I enjoy it and that will determine how many games I play."

Sedgwick is regarded among the top echelon of players in the Hume league and enjoyed another outstanding season to finish fourth in the Azzi medal.
The speedster has been on the recruiting radar of several clubs but is keen to remain with Brock-Burrum next season.
"I've had a few offers but I won't be going anywhere," he said.
Sedgwick said his phone was running hot with text messages during Osborne's mad Monday celebrations after a picture of Osborne's Declan Galvin dressed as Sedgwick was posted on Facebook.
"I rated it pretty highly," he said.
"I'm not on Facebook but a heap of the boys texted me the photo and he even had my headband on.
"I took it as a compliment really.
"It's the old saying that imitation is the highest form of flattery."
