And it's important to find out as much as you can about different careers and jobs, and your own talents and interests to ensure they match, according to headspace.
The headspace website (headspace.org.au/young-people/what-career-or-job-suits-me/) says that way you are more likely to choose the career that suits you best and jobs you will enjoy the most. It recommends getting information via:
- Family, friends and others;
- Career and industry events;
- Knowing your interests and talents;
- Career guidance supports; and
- Work experience and volunteering.

National Careers Institute
