It was announced yesterday that Stan would air the film this summer.
No date has been announced for its release or when it will hit movie houses in Australia.
It had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last month with Hollywood publication Variety lauding it in comparison to the 2003 Ned Kelly starring Heath Ledger "which pitched the bushwhacking, cop-killing outlaw as little more than a twinkle-eyed rogue".
British actor George MacKay plays Kelly, while Russell Crowe is his mentor Harry Power and Essie Davis is his mother Ellen Kelly.
