"But nothing can beat the sight and sound of these beautiful cars doing what they were built for - travelling down the road," Gerogery's Anthony McKenzie said.
Mr McKenzie, a member of Albury, Wodonga and Districts Car Club, organised Saturday's All Welcome Cruise, where enthusiasts drove their cars in convoy from Wodonga to the Myrtleford Show 'n' Shine and Swap Meet.
Leaving from Lincoln Causeway, a range of veteran, hot rod, classic, muscle and modified vehicles travelled through Baranduda, Allans Flat, Yackandandah, Bruarong and Barwidgee to reach their destination.
Mr McKenzie said five Border car clubs were represented, as well as individuals, with participants also coming from Wagga, Tumut and joining the cruise at points along the way.

"It's really just to make the car clubs more visible, build more cohesion between the clubs," he said.
"It's vital that we share our knowledge and love of our cars with each other and the wider community to keep our clubs buoyant and viable into the future by maintaining and fostering a love and understanding of all things automotive."
Last year saw the first All Welcome Cruise to coincide with the Myrtleford car show and it's hoped the journey will return "bigger and better" in 2020 as well.
Saturday's cruise vehicles varied from cars from the 1930s to current models, with Chevrolets and old Holdens well represented.
Mr McKenzie drove a white 1960 Chevrolet Bel Air he has owned for four years, although he's had other cars on and off for most of his life.
"With the log book scheme that we use now, we all have the opportunity to take our cars out independent of our clubs for 60 days of the year," he said.
"So that makes the cars out on the road a lot more rather than sitting in a garage waiting for a club event.
"Cars are really at their best when you see them going down the road and being amongst that is great fun.
"We can always walk around and look at each other's cars at any event but getting together and actually going on the cruise together, that's gold."
