Trumpeter Marla Dixon and multi-instrumentalist Shaye Cohn will join hundreds of artists and 140 bands during six days of jazz playing.
It will be the first time in almost 30 years the convention has hosted a guest, made possible through a grant from Destination NSW.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Dixon is a full-time member of the all-woman Shake 'Em Up Jazz Band and also the Shotgun Jazz Band, which she leads. Both bands tour across the US and Europe.
Cohn, who is able to play most traditional jazz instruments, will feature on piano and trumpet in Albury.
She toured Australia seven years ago with her band Tuba Skinny.
Albury won the right to host the 74th Australian Jazz Convention through a vote at last year's event in Ballarat.
The program will include eight city venues, a street parade, gardens picnic and a public outdoor concert.
