Albury magistrate Tony Murray repeatedly said the Henty man's actions were "disgraceful" and imposed a two-month prison term on Wednesday.
"It was highly offensive," he said of the photographs he sent to the victim's new partner.
Corry Richard Fischer sent the images, a video and hundreds of threats to his ex-partner last Christmas and New Year's period.
Albury Local Court heard the 40-year-old had been planning to attend a Christmas gathering but was told on the morning he wasn't welcome.
"He was in a very poor emotional state," lawyer Angus Lingham said.
He sent the first image to his partner on December 29, stating he would be "showing them this" followed by a further four images and a video, with the text "I should put this on Facebook for everyone to see".

He said it was payback for the woman "putting s--- up about me" on the social media site.
Further threats were made and other images sent to the woman.
Fischer went into her Kaitlers Road home on New Year's Eve and took photographs of sex toys before sending them to her.
He stuck two of the devices on her window, and turned on the lights and lifted the blinds so they could be seen by those passing the house.
Fischer sent her new partner four images and a video on January 4, which caused the victim to contact the police.
He was arrested in her backyard and charged that night with distributing and threatening to distribute intimate images without consent, and stalking.
Mr Murray said the offending was at the upper end of the scale.
He said anyone walking past the woman's home could have seen the sex toys, and imposed a maximum seven-month term.
"These are bad offences when you view the overall criminality involved. It's disgraceful behaviour," Mr Murray said.
