KLM Royal Dutch Airlines marked its centenary on Monday with the release of a commemorative book Welcome Aboard!
The book includes an explanation of the Montford Uiver Flight Memorial, a statuette given to the people of Holland by the people of Albury.
It had been commissioned after the KLM DC-2 airliner Uiver crashed in December 1934, only two months after its successful emergency landing at Albury racecourse, guided by car headlights.
