The Murray Bushrangers have named 82 players as part of their NAB league boys under-18 pre-season squad for 2020.

More than 260 players were nominated by their respective clubs for the pre-season squad, with the talented nominees taking part in training, trial games, athletic testing and meetings as part of the selection process, which began back in July.
The pre-season program will commence on November 17 at Norm Minns Oval and run up until Christmas, with another eleven weeks of training and practice matches scheduled from Januray 12 to round one of competition on March 20.
Bushrangers' talent manager Mick Wilson highlighted the support given from local clubs in aiding assemble the promising squad, with players coming through the ranks for next season.
"Clubs were fantastic in nominating their talented players and some very good players have unfortunately missed selection," Wilson said.

"Over the past few season we've had more than 110 players come into the pre-season program.
"However, this year we're following other talent program models in an attempt to personalise individual training and development requirements."
Wodonga top age player Elijah Hollands will look to continue his development in the squad next season after a strong year on the field and will be joined again by Shepparton United young gun Zavier Maher.
"Both Zavier and Elijah featured in the best players for the AFL Future Stars at the MCG on Grand Final day and will be looking towards a big pre-season," Wilson said.
Murray Bushrangers NAB league under-18 boys coach Mark Brown said he was pleased with the amount of potential talent in the squad.
"We're very excited with the quality of footballers we have in this squad," Brown said.
"The under-16 group won all their 2019 Vic Country Championship matches and most of our under-17 players were exposed to NAB league football in 2019.
"If the players do the work, we're confident the team will perform well in 2020."
Both sides of the Border are well represented in the pre-season squad with players stemming from numerous Ovens and Murray club's junior sides as well as district league clubs.
The Bushrangers will be looking to improve and expand on the development of the keen young footballers, with many players from years gone by using the experience as a stepping stone into the ranks of professional Aussie Rules football.
Last NAB league season the Murray Bushrangers won six of their 15 matches.
