Amy Higgins' John Street property was burgled on Sunday night or Monday morning as she slept inside with her partner and newborn.

Her partner's KTM350 motorbike was stolen and was heard being ridden around the town.

Ms Higgins said she was fed up, with the three burglaries in the past three months costing about $10,000.

She is urging members of the community to band together and keep an eye out for each other.

"We just feel like selling and leaving," Ms Higgins said.

"We don't feel safe.

"The last time they broke in I was 34 weeks pregnant.

"On Sunday I had a five-month-old at home.

"We've been home every time we've been broken into. It's scary."

The latest incident was discovered when her partner, Rick Turnbull, went to leave for work on Monday.

He found the back of a shed was removed and his motorbike missing.

The thieves had removed the corrugated iron from the shed after taking off screws.

"They obviously knew what was in there," Ms Higgins said.

"Each time they've very specifically been after motorbikes.

"During the second break-in they took nothing.

"They broke into a shed with a chainsaw, lawnmower, and other items, but they just wanted the motorbikes."

Leading Senior Constable Chris Atwell urged the community to be vigilant, and is appealing for information.

"With any suspicious activity people should call triple zero," he said.

"People need to be vigilant in relation to locking up all valuable equipment."

Ms Higgins said someone in the town must know those responsible.

"The police are doing a good job," she said.

"We need community assistance.

"We need to raise public awareness of what's going on.

"People should be on the lookout.

"If your next door neighbour all of a sudden rocks up with a $4500 motorbike, you'd notice something.

"Someone must know something."

The motorbike is white, black and orange, and has Victorian recreational registration.
