Officers used the air wing from Thursday to Monday amid a spate of evasions and police pursuits in the area earlier this month.
Senior Sergeant Darren Wittingslow said five men and two women were arrested during the operation, with two remanded in custody.
"It was a good outcome," he said.

"There was complete disregard for other road users and themselves, driving on the wrong side of the road, running people off the road and high speed driving.
"It's really dangerous behaviour which places the community and police at risk."
Senior Sergeant Wittingslow said many of the offenders were known to each other and the investigation was continuing.
"People can be assured if they see the air wing overhead, the helicopter is there to keep the community safe," he said.
"The message to offenders, or those who wish to engage with high risk intentional driving activity, Victoria Police has a number of resolution strategies.
"The air wing can be very quickly deployed, providing a very good observation platform of the offending.
"The message is quite clear - you will be caught."
Those arrested live in Wangaratta and surrounds and were aged in their 20s and 30s.
"This involved intentional high risk driving by a small cohort of people," Senior Sergeant Wittingslow said.
"We've still got some ongoing investigations continuing with some vehicles of interest and some persons of interest."
