Set to take place on October 19-20, the gigantic weekend will be filled with waste-reducing, planet saving, treasure hunting fun.
This year's Garage Sale Trail is set to be the biggest yet with 400,000 people expected to take part at more than 18,000 sale events across the country - diverting upwards of three million kilos from landfill.
Now in its ninth year, the multi award-winning national initiative seeks to educate Australians on the importance of reuse and the need to take individual responsibility for the impact of our consumption habits whilst building stronger, more connected and resilient communities.
Proud media partner Australian Community Media, publisher of this newspaper, is supporting the Garage Sale Trail by offering special rates for participants to advertise in their local classifieds section. Garage Sale Trail will be returning the favour by communicating this offer to their participants, allowing the trail to grow and incorporate as many events as possible.
