The social all ages competition continues to grow in popularity on the Border, climbing from 80 entrants in it's inaugural year to 250 players taking to the field last season.

The format sees each team play three games per night once a week for a six week period, with the first round commencing on Wednesday, October 30 at Alexander Park North.

Albury-Wodonga Steamers' touch sevens coordinator Daniel Hogg said the competition aims to encourage families, friends and work colleagues to unite and keep active, while enjoying a light-hearted and social atmosphere.

Hogg added participants should leave a win at all costs attitude at the door.

"It's all about getting people involved and active in sport while also having some fun along the way, that's the goal," Hogg said.

"We get a really interesting mix of people, and that's the idea."

Registrations for the Steamers' rugby touch sevens competition close Friday and can be made via the Rugby Xplorer app.

Kickoff for games will start at 6pm each week.
