Alex Brian McLeod was arrested in Olive Street in Albury on 12.25pm on Tuesday.
Police said he was taken into custody without incident.
He is due to face Albury Local Court on Wednesday.
EARLIER: Police are seeking help to find a wanted man following a car crash on the Lincoln Causeway on Monday.
A renewed appeal has been made to find Alex Brian McLeod, 42, who is on parole.
Police launched a major cross-Border manhunt on Monday following the collision on the causeway about 2.30pm.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The airwing and dog squad were involved.
Two cars were struck by another vehicle.
McLeod is described as being Caucasian, of solid built, with green eyes and short hair.
He has tattoos on his right leg, right arm and fingers.
The 42-year-old is known to frequent the Border, Lockart, Wyong and Crooks Hill.
Anyone who sees McLeod should not approach him, but instead call Triple-0 immediately.
