But it won't last long with the 32 degrees predicted for Thursday in stark contrast to just 17 degrees the top on Saturday.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology Friday will start off feeling like summer with the top of 28 degrees expected by 11am before a possible late shower and cold winds cool things off.
Duty forecaster Ben Owen told The Border Mail the rapid change in temperatures is due to a "strong cold front moving through during Friday".
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We will see hot temperatures in the lead up to the change during the day Friday before the North North Westerly winds bring that transition into cold air sweeping through during Saturday and Sunday," he said.
Tuesday reached a top of 28.2 degrees and today reached 30 degrees.
Sunday is expected to be a little warmer with a predicted top of 21 degrees but the night is due to drop back to just five degrees.
