Northeast Health Wangaratta chief executive Margaret Bennett confirmed today that two of their IT application systems have been restored following the thwarting of a computer virus threat on Monday.
"The systems for financial management and dental were temporarily taken off-line while enhanced anti-virus software was installed," she said in a statement to media.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"I can confirm there has been no impact on patients and that patient care and safety has not been compromised.
"There has been no evidence of loss of data from the network - nor exposure of patient information."
This comes after other regional hospitals were threatened with ransomware earlier this month, delaying surgeries and sending heath services into lock down.
