A teenage boy has pleaded guilty to charges relating to a cache of child sex abuse images and ammunition found in his home.

The boy, supported in Albury Children's Court this week by his father, will now face sentence on December 10.
Magistrate Rodney Brender ordered the preparation of a NSW Juvenile Justice report to assist in the sentencing process.

The boy admitted to two counts of possess child abuse material and one of possess ammunition without a licence or permit.
Mr Brender was told that police from the Albury Criminal Investigation Unit applied for a search warrant on January 29.
This was executed at the boy's Culcairn home on January 31 about 7.40am.

The boy, 17, was cautioned and questioned in the presence of his mother about the possible possession of child abuse material on his computer or any other hardware or devices.
He denied any knowledge of such material.
Police said several computers and computer hardware were then seized.
During the search, a quantity of different calibre ammunition was found in his bedroom.
"I thought it was cool to have," he said.
Twenty child abuse images were found on the boy's phone, which he used to visit websites including "14-year-old Turkish girl rape" and "Snow torture for Russian girl".
Forensic examination of his computer uncovered 151 images where a real pre-pubescent child was involved in a sexual act and 924 images where it was implied the person was a child.
