The young trainer vowed to give away a free beer if he jagged a winning double on his home track and he had two placings with his sole victory.

Signall Hill finished a close second in the first, while Princess Cordelia came third in race six, but Beer still honoured his promise despite falling a win short.
Beer said the stable was "frustratingly close" with its 10 runners throughout the day.
"We had a few near misses throughout the day and it wasn't looking very good, but fortunately enough we were able to round out the day with a winner," he said.
"The pressure was mounting from pretty early on after running second in the first and that got the ball rolling.
"We thought our last three (Jawwaal, Princess Cordelia, Cardinet) were our best chances and they weren't far off.
"After we won the last, we decided to at least give something back and the crowd was pretty happy to have a beer on us."
