1.25pm: WorkSafe is investigating the second fatality to take place in less than three days in the Border and North East region.
A 65-year-old Wodonga man was killed when a cement mixer travelling from Albury tipped onto its side on the Murray River Road, near Lehmans Road at Talgarno.
Wodonga Highway Patrol Sergeant Cameron Roberts said police were investigating.
"He's been heading away from Albury-Wodonga, and for whatever reason, on exiting the bend he has lost control of the vehicle. He's been killed as a result of the crash," he said.
WorkSafe investigators arrived on scene about 1pm.
Murray River Road will be closed for some time.
A WorksSafe spokesperson confirmed the organisation was making inquiries but could not provide further details.

12.30pm: Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash near Talgarno.
It's believed a vehicle has rolled on Murray River Road, near Lehmans Road, about 35 minutes east of Albury.
The road remains closed and is expected to for much of Monday afternoon.
The Department of Transport confirmed Murray River Road, Talgarno, was closed between the Murray River and Granya Road, due to a serious collision.
The department suggested motorists use the Murray Valley Highway through Ebden and Tallangatta instead.
This closure is under Victoria Police control. The road will re-open when investigations are complete and when the road is clear.
The Department of Transport is assisting emergency services with detours and traffic management.
Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au.
Inquiries to Ambulance Victoria were referred directly to police.
Monday's incident came less than 48 hours after Sue Churcher, 61, suffered fatal injuries when the car she was driving crashed off Urana Road, just south of Burrumbuttock and hit a tree on Saturday.
