B&H Homes | A builder to place your trust in

When looking to create their ideal home to spend their retirement years in, Paul and Marion Whyte knew what they wanted.
However, it took longer to find the right builder to put their trust in.
"I suppose most people would buy a block of land, then look for a house to build on it," Marion said.
"I knew the house I wanted then found a block the right size to accommodate a beautiful new home suitable for us as we grow older."
Having come from a beef cattle farm where they raised their three children, this home was built to allow them to enjoy their retirement.
The initial plan was to find an existing house close to the Albury CBD, but with no luck the search widened to include East and West Albury. One existing house did stand out and, while no longer on the market, it was built by B&H Homes.
Nothing has been too much trouble.

"That was the information I needed," Marion said. "When I Googled their website, I was convinced of who I wanted to build our home. I phoned and spoke to new homes consultant Brooke Olcorn, made an appointment to see her and the rest is history. Nothing has been too much trouble. I have been able to phone or call into the office and building site at any time to ask questions or discuss ideas, changes or inclusions."
The Whyte's home is a well thought out, compact design with fantastic use of space and ample storage.
Inspired by central Albury architecture and the signature B&H look, the facade features finely detailed gable ends with decorative strapping and ornate eave brackets. A timber awning canopy and quaint verandahs shelter west-facing windows and rendered sills. Internally, high ceilings, tear-drop picture rails, shaker profile main internal doors, and patterned tiles and lead lighting provide yesteryear charm.
A north-facing pavilion, and meals and family rooms are flooded with natural light. Double glazing was used for acoustic benefit and thermal regulation.
New homes consultant Brooke Olcorn said a close working relationship with Marion was key to achieving the bespoke results.
"From our very first meeting with Marion, it was evident that our company's values aligned with her expectations which made the build process a great collaboration," she said.
"The end result is absolutely stunning, with loads of character and lots of heart, much like its lovely owners."
Marion said she would miss collaborating with with B&H Homes and her interactions with the tradespeople involved in creating their unique home.
"This is the third house I have built and, while the others were nice houses, this time I have everything I want, including the landscaping," she said. "I would have no hesitation in recommending B&H Homes. When people know you are building a new home, the question is always asked, 'who is building your home?'. When I say B&H Homes the response is, 'Oh, I have heard of them, they build a beautiful home'.
"The pride they have in their workmanship and attention to detail goes above and beyond all the way."
- The home at 13 Morrissey Court, Thurgoona will be open for viewing on Sat and Sun, November 2 and 3, 1pm to 5pm.
