Launched in Wodonga last night, the six-show season was curated around the theme Powerful Theatre, Great Conversations.
HotHouse Theatre artistic director Karla Conway said the shared experience of theatre was important for sparking talk about the big issues.
"We know we're going to have some great nights in the theatre and some great shared conversations," she said.

The 2020 season features: Breaking The Castle (The Street - Canberra); Mission Songs Project (Jessie Lloyd); Lamb (Red Stitch Actors Theatre - Melbourne); I've Been Meaning To Ask You (The Good Room - Queensland): Prima Facie (Griffin Theatre Company); and Dr AudiYO's Giant Adventure.
Conway said Breaking The Castle would play in Wodonga early next year, right after its Canberra premiere.
"It's a brand new work from The Street in Canberra; I was in on the first creative development of the show," Conway said.
"It was the most incredible first read of a show I've experienced."
