The third installment of A Hitch To The Sticks is pulling up at Wangaratta. The festival offers 50 people a once in a lifetime experience to travel from Melbourne on a three-day musical bus safari. A Hitch To The Sticks will present Tex Perkins and His Fat Rubber Band, Magic Dirt, Stonefield, Ella Hooper, Dallas Crane, Bachelor Girl, Cookin' On 3 Burners, Davidson Brothers and Emilee South. The festival offers nine events; six VIP events are exclusive to bus ticket holders.
SHOW BUSINESS
Albury Show, Albury Showgrounds, Saturday, November 2, 9am to 10pm
It's show time! The Albury Show is back this weekend, bigger and better than ever. The best of the bush comes to town in the animal pavilions. Check out the prize-winning stock and meet their handlers. Arts, craft, photography and woodwork will be among the exhibits. Other fun additions will be a mechanical bull and Stormglow Battle Game. Fireworks will light up the sky from 9pm.
GOLD RUSH
Berrigan Gold Cup, Racecourse Road, Berrigan, Saturday, November 2, 11am to 7pm
The population of Berrigan will double as punters and fashionistas head to the popular Berrigan Gold Cup. The six-race meeting will be full TAB and bookmaker services with a big screen for interstate races. Fashions on the Field, run between races 3 and 4, will offer $3000 in cash and prizes. Prestige Catering Cobram will provide a gourmet barbecue, a sit down lunch and afternoon tea. Live music and ample free parking. No BYO alcohol.
FAMILY TIES
Discover Bonegilla, Saturday, November 2, and Sunday, November 3, 9am to 4pm
From writing your family history to guided tours and long lunches, the annual Discover Bonegilla reunion is a homecoming for many. Guests will immerse themselves in the surrounds of the Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre, more than 70 years after it was established.

Spring has sprung at Repair Cafe. It will feature a lawnmower maintenance demonstration from 10.15am and lawnmower blade servicing from 10.45am. The cafe will offer a device help desk too. Learn how to trouble-shoot mobile phones.
HABITAT GARDEN
Gardens for Wildlife habitat open garden, Sunday, November 3, 10am to 3pm, cnr Drewett and McGaffins Road, Wodonga
Take a self-guided tour of Julianne and Greg Sharp's stunning 1.5 acre habitat garden. Their biodiverse, peaceful haven was designed with wildlife in mind, attracting 70 bird species, reptiles, frogs and possums.
