About 12.30pm on Monday a man was approached by another man in the driveway of a property on Sunwood Drive, Lavington and police will allege a 26-year-old man, armed with a tomahawk and knife, forced the other man into the house, before cutting his wrist with the knife and demanding the keys to his BMW sedan.
The man complied and sustained multiple cuts to his arms and hands as a result of the incident.
The matter was not reported to police at the time.

But about 4.45pm on Tuesday the allegedly stolen BMW sedan, bearing plates believed to be stolen, was involved in a second incident in Olive Street.
The driver of the BMW sedan gestured for the driver of a Subaru Impreza to pull over, before allegedly producing a knife and throwing it at the passenger, who was filming outside the car at the time.
The passenger was able to take evasive action and the knife allegedly hit the door of the car, resulting in minor damage.
In the early hours of yesterday police located the man at a property in Driver Terrace Glenroy.
On sighting police, the man engaged in a short foot pursuit and was located at a property on Resolution Street, also in Glenroy, shortly after and arrested.
He was taken to Albury Police Station where he was later charged with multiple offences.
They include robbery armed with offensive weapon, take person in company with intent to commit serious indictable offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, armed with intent to commit indictable offences, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, use offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, malicious damage and drive recklessly/furiously or speed manner dangerous.
The man was refused bail and will face court.
