Murray United's leading scorer retired from NPL this year after playing all five seasons with the club and will further strengthen the AWFA league and cup champion's already potent front third.
Walker held the record for most goals in an AWFA season with 50 for Twin City Wanderers in 2010 and it was broken by two-time league Star Player Adam Burchell in 2017 - his new Wangaratta teammate.
The pair are set to form a formidable combination with Wangaratta starting clear favourites for back-to-back titles.

"Massive signing, who is proven at AWFA and NPL level as a prolific goal-scorer," Wangaratta coach Daniel Vasilevski said of Walker.
"I actually think the best of Zac is yet to come, he's only 27 which is mind-boggling as he's been around forever.
"Zac for me is a special player. He's got the ability to turn a game on its head, he's a match-winner and players like Zac are a rare breed.
"Zac brings experience and leadership. Having played at Murray and been their best over the past five years and also having experience in A-League club's setups, he brings drive and ambition.
"He's pretty flexible and can play as a high 9 or dropping deeper in a 10 position. In saying that, he can also play out wide when we need some width.
"Our aim is to get Zac enjoying his football again."
Walker knocked back an offer from his home club Twin City to be a co-coach alongside Shaun Wilhelm next year.
"We were trying to get a hold of Zac, but obviously that didn't eventuate," Wilhelm said.
He took plenty out of his first full season as senior coach, despite the loss of three key players in Mat Hasler, Josh Zito and Tyler Curran in the off-season.
"Anyone would have said it would be a tough year, but the boys held their own," Wilhelm added.
"We feel like we were a semi-final side, but drawing Myrtleford was tough.
"Everyone is keen to go this year, there shouldn't be any losses and we'll have (goalkeeper) Rohan Pearce for a full year as well."
Myrtleford, Albury Hotspurs, St Pats and Wodonga Heart are yet to finalise coaches.
