Albury and District was set to take on the best bowlers from across Zone 8 at Wagga RSL Club in a bid to end an 11-year drought, but predicted severe thunderstorms have prevented the annual event from going ahead.
Zone Eight publicity officer Bryce Rayner said the decision was made at the request of a number of districts.

"With reports of wild weather, including severe thunderstorms and wind forecast for the Wagga area, and upon the request of a number of districts, it was decided to cancel the Bing Wallder for 2019," Rayner said.
"Hopefully we will be back bigger and better next year."
