"I had wanted them for years and years, but it was a nice surprise, and we were hooked," she said.
Mrs Bird, of Yarroweyah, brought her miniature goats to the weekend's Albury Show, now in its 162nd year.
The animals, which don't actually eat everything after all, joined the cattle, horses, craft, exhibits, carnival rides and show bags that add to the annual tradition.

Albury Show Society president Wal Blezard said the cattle sections had been highly successful with more than 80 young people taking part in the judging and parading competitions.
Friday's opening night and fireworks also attracted a good crowd.
Albury's Natalie Corby, with Oliver, 5, and Isabelle, 2, attended on Saturday.
"I just love getting the kids outside and the fireworks," she said.
"Seeing the excitement on their faces, how much fun they're having.
"Just the whole atmosphere of it all."
