CLUB stalwart Ben Stewart believes Wodonga Raiders' performances on Saturday showed the club is heading in the right direction.
On top of the Raiders breaking their first grade drought against North Albury, they also won B grade and C grade division one matches.
"It was probably our best day as a club since we came back into provincial in 2013-14," Stewart said.
The most pleasing aspect about the wins for the Raiders was the contribution of the young players.
Fifteen-year-old Ryan Coonan took 5-24 off nine overs in the Raiders' B grade victory over North Albury while Will Noonan made 30 and grabbed two wickets.
In C grade division one, talented 13-year-old Kane Scott made 121 not out and 14-year-old Jack Stewart contributed 63.
Troy Armstrong, 17, then grabbed 7-5 with his off-spinners.
"It's not all about the young players, but it's a good sign," Stewart said.
"Some hadn't experienced wins like that before."
