Ledgers' Mystical Rose ran second to Victorian trainer Peter Smith's Play Master in race six.
It marked the Ledgers' third placing for the day, snagging two in the first two races at the Wangaratta Turf Club.
ALSO IN SPORT:
Galloper Kuro Bella came in third in the first race, while Make You Famous also ran third in the second.
However, the galloper Ledger believed to have been his most hopeful runner for the day, Spirit Off, did not end up getting a start in the first race.
The Ledger's had five starters in the Wangaratta racing event.
Border trainer Mitch Beer was just edged out for a placing in the second race with his only runner for the day, Shadow Company, coming in fourth behind Make You Famous.
