The luxury four bedrooom home complete with two kitchens, gymnasium, theatre and indoor and outdoor pools in Caernarvon Court sold for $1.5 million in 2010, which eclipsed the previous record of $1.06 million paid in 2007.
But another high quality Wodonga home in McGaffins Road was sold in early 2017 for a new benchmark of $1.74 million.
Agents Stean Nicholls will auction 6 Caernarvon Court at 2.30pm.
"It's one of the highest points for a residential property in the entire Albury-Wodonga area," agent Jack Stean said.
"You've got almost 360 degree views.
"In today's building costs, the cost to replace what is already here would be very significant.
"It has been very well built and very well designed.
"Just by walking through the property you can tell there has been a very high attention to detail."
There is also a downstairs self-contained apartment with large bedroom, bathroom and kitchen plus cinema, wine cellar and three-car garage.
Mr Stean said there had been 40 inspections of the property set on three acres in the lead-up to the auction.
