The official festival of the Australasian Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association of Australia runs during November.
The festival will run at the George Kerferd Hotel, in the Mayday Hills complex, from Friday night until Sunday.
Mountaingrass Festival presents concert performances of bluegrass and traditional American old-time music.
Joining Australia's and New Zealand's top performers, there will be plenty of international talent.
Highlights include Midnight Skyracer, an exciting new, five-piece female bluegrass band from Britain; The South Carolina Broadcasters, a traditional old-time music band from the mountains of Appalachia; Mike & Ruthy, a husband and wife duo from New York State making waves in the Americana world and beyond; and the dynamic Sonoran Dogs visiting Australia again from the US.
The festival also features blackboard concerts throughout the weekend and a rousing gospel concert on Sunday morning.
Luthiers will have instruments on display and for sale.
Workshops will be held on all instruments catering for beginners and beyond.
Patrons will be able to join jamming and picking sessions in the beautiful heritage-listed grounds of Mayday Hills.
