Beechworth sign Brenton Surrey and Jay Dale as co-coaches

Brenton Surrey will return for his second stint as coach of Beechworth.
BEECHWORTH has appointed senior players Brenton Surrey and Jay Dale as co-coaches.
With the Bushrangers finishing this year in a blaze of glory by winning five of their last seven matches, Surrey is excited about what lies ahead.
He previously coached in 2012 and 2013.
Dale has spent the last two seasons at Beechworth after playing for Myrtleford and co-coaching Yackandandah.
"I haven't played a lot in the past couple of years due to injury and, sitting back watching, we have some good kids who we want to keep at the club and our senior players have been working hard so hopefully we can tie everything up," Surrey said.
We had a really strong finish to the year and we are looking to build on that. Hopefully the improvement continues through the club

Surrey shapes as a recruit himself after playing just one match this year due to a foot ligament injury and five in 2018.
He is confident of being fit for round one following surgery.
"Hopefully I'm right to go," he said.
"I haven't played a lot lately but hopefully I'm on the right track again as it would be good to get out there."
Surrey and Dale have taken over from Shaun Pritchard.
The Bushrangers are confident of keeping their list together with no confirmed departures at this stage.
Adam Fendyk has been appointed president of Beechworth with John Thistleton switching to secretary.
In other news, Barnawartha defender Ryan Lempa has returned to the Geelong and District league.
He was cleared to the Tigers before the clearance deadline this year with Peter Cook's line-up in premiership contention.
Lempa played in Barnawartha's 2013 flag under Mark Sarau.
The Tallangatta league will hold their annual general meeting at Wodonga Bowling Club on Sunday, November 24.
Meanwhile, former Thurgoona player Brett Wightman has been appointed coach of Queensland club Kedron Lions.
