David Reynolds is looking to keep his momentum going at this weekend's Sandown 500.
Reynolds started the season strongly sitting third in the championships after 15 races, before hitting a run of poor results.
However, two strong drives at Bathurst and the Gold Coast saw him move into fifth position, 83 points behind Fabian Coulthard.
Reynolds is upbeat heading into the weekend's event.

"I don't mind this circuit, it always produces good racing," Reynolds said.
"But the short lap means you can't put a foot wrong or you're a lap down before you know it.
"In the past we've had pace here, but our tyre life hasn't been good and that's stopped us getting good results.
"But this year some of the technical rules have changed, so hopefully that will help us get better life out of them."
Wet weather is forecast for this weekend, but the Albury born ace said that didn't faze him.
Reynolds car will sport the identical livery of the Jim Richards JPS BMW M3 that the Hall of Famer drove from 1982-87.
Richards' success over the six-year period included two Australian Touring Car Championships, the Australian Endurance Championship, and the AMSCAR Series at Amaroo Park.
