De Marte, who played in the Demons' 2017 premiership, will take over the top job from caretaker Peter Jefferies.
The veteran defender led Barnawartha's reserves into the finals this year and will look to recruit heavily in coming weeks to lift Corryong back up the ladder.
De Marte has played for Nyah-Nyah West United, Sunshine, Wodonga Raiders and Barnawartha as well as spending two seasons with Corryong in 2017 and 2018.
Tumbarumba and Border-Walwa are the only Upper Murray league clubs yet to announce their coaches for next season.
Brent Ohlin (Federal), Brayden Carey (Cudgewa) and Joe Bolton and Kelvin Wallace (Bullioh) are already locked away.
The revamped competition has dropped reserve grade this year with several clubs unable to field sides last season.
