Marni Korneluk will leave a gift-wrapped print somewhere around Albury, Wodonga or Lavington each day from December 10, giving hints via social media.
"It's the 12 days of Christmas from me, basically," she said.
"I've had quite a lot of support over the last couple of years with my artwork in terms of getting commissions, getting me to do murals and portraits of people, so this is a way of saying thank-you for the support."

As well as wrapped with a note, each A3 sized print will be framed ready for the finder to hang on a wall.
"I'm happy for them to keep it for themselves or regift it, I don't mind," Korneluk said.
"It's going to be really easy to find."
The artist, who describes her work as mostly black and grey realism, had multiple prints left over from previous runs, with the three different giveaways being pencil drawings of a rose, an elephant herd and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
