Victoria Police are investigating after an ATM was stolen during a ram raid in Numurkah early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to reports a ute has smashed through the front windows of a service station on the Goulburn Valley Highway about 1.40am.
It appeared four thieves were unable to load the ATM into the ute so tied it to the back of the ute and dragged it from the scene.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The ATM being dragged along the road has caused sparks that started a grassfire about one kilometre from the scene which was quickly extinguished.
