The council's Hold My Hand campaign is a partnership with the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation and involves colourful signs installed at Corowa, Mulwala, Howlong, Oaklands and Urana playgrounds.
Mayor Patrick Bourke said the signs were a great reminder as adults and children left the parks.
"Children can be very excitable and unpredictable and are unable to make safe choices around roadways and traffic," he said.
"We must hold their hands right up until age 10 and supervise them closely until they are 12."

The Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation was established in memory of four-year-old Tom McLaughlin, who died in a pedestrian road crash on a family vacation in 2014.
Founder and chief executive Michelle McLaughlin said she was delighted Federation Council joined 39 councils in four states working with her organisation.
"We lost our precious son, Tom, in the blink of an eye," she said.
"We don't want this to happen to anyone else.
"The cost - emotional and financial - is just too high."
