The four-time Olympic medallist will contest the annual Twin Cities Classic, playing for the Swamp Donkeys, who are a mix of Border players in the women's A grade.
The mother-of-two coached the Lady Bandits in this year's NBL1.
"Having Lauren back around Albury and back around the club has been great," Albury Basketball Association administrator Tenille Collins said of the player often rated the game's greatest female.
"Obviously it's a social gathering tournament so it will be good to get together with and mingle with some of the people she's come across over the years.
"You just learn so much from her, even though it's a social tournament, you're always learning from her."
The event has attracted around 60 teams and 600 players.
There's four teams in the women's top grade.
